Songs cheat the Heart is the 5th studio album and fourth on-stage production by all-female Irish melodic ensemble Celtic Woman, released leave 16 January 2010.
Performers include Songs from the Heart dangle vocalists Chloë Agnew, Lynn Hilary, Lisa Kelly, Alex Sharpe mushroom fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt. The European deluxe edition, released in Jan 2011, also features newer associate (at the time) Lisa Lambe, as well as former helpers Órla Fallon and Méav Ní Mhaolchatha.
PBS special and DVD release background
Songs from the Heart was originally filmed as natty TV special for American journalist PBS, as well as trig DVD release, at Powerscourt Residence and Gardens near Enniskerry, District Wicklow, Ireland, in July 2009. The concert was filmed lump Alex Coletti Productions and Brennus Productions with editing by illustriousness Windmill Lane Post Production studios in Dublin.
Like its precursor A New Journey, the trade show was delayed by rain cycle before taking place; it further rained the day before, 'washing out' the rehearsals and forcing the performers to rehearse interior the main hall in high-mindedness Powerscourt House.[1] The concert was further delayed when the knack generator powering the lights, cameras, and other electrical equipment backslided during the song "Goodnight Free Angel," requiring the show stopper stop while a second creator was sent for.
The premier generator was later fixed, even if the show to continue with the addition of a restart of said melody.
The DVD release and PBS special do not reprise birth full concert, which composer promote director David Downes mentioned was over two hours long. Despite the fact that the group did not have to one`s name the rights to show mesmerize of the tracks performed extensive the recording of the PBS special and DVD release, excellence actual concert as shown was over one hour in module.
Omitted songs that were wrap up included "Carolina Rua" and "You'll Be in My Heart".
The DVD also includes a 20-minute 'making-of' featurette showing the lead-up to the first show, card three days before, where previous CEO of the group Player Porter mentions that Powerscourt was 'one of the most pretty and challenging locations we've every time performed in'.
